PlayStation 5

PlayStation 5 (PS5) is Sony Interactive Entertainment’s home video game console. The PS5, announced as a PlayStation 4 successor in 2019, was released in Australia, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, North America and South Korea on 12 November 2020 and in other major markets with the exception of China on 19 November 2020. On 2 February 2021, the console is expected to be released in India.

This platform was released in two versions: a product base with an Ultra HD optical disc drive that supports Blu-ray compatibility and a Digital Edition without this drive, which is a cheaper model for games to be purchased via a digital Download.
